Bassmead Manor Barns wedding venue – Gemma & James’s wedding was held on one very very hot and sunny day. (A sunny day which for the most is a wedding photographers nightmare). On arrival at the wedding venue you are immediately impressed, not just because of the drive to the Barns but once you are there you can see that attention to detail is key to the management and staff. The barns and guest rooms are of a very high standard, the surrounding countryside, the big sky vista and farmland will always impress both bride and groom and their guests.
Gemma and James’s wedding was one full of sunshine, laughter, a steel band reception, mini kite flying and a very relaxed atmosphere. The perfect day, their perfect day ….
Bassmead Manor Barns is a wedding photographers happy place too. The Summer months give wonderful opportunities for couple shots in “fields of gold”, the ancient barn where the civil ceremony is held gives a tremendous atmosphere, the barn dressed in tiny lights that wrap the old oak beams. Whilst a little dark in the barn atmospheric shots can be gained. The barn for the wedding breakfast and “party-time” is shrouded in gorgeous light which lends to great speech shots and guest reactions.
The wedding venue is certainly one to view if you are considering a Cambridgeshire wedding.
Thank you to Gemma & James for a super. super day!
