Destination Wedding Photography: Camilla & Ben
Destination wedding photography is something I always look forward to. This season I have been lucky enough to photograph two destination weddings and both in France. France certainly seems to be a firm favourite with wedding couples with its multitude of wedding venue choices. I’ve photographed weddings in Italy, France, Germany, Ireland and South Africa.
Camilla and Ben’s wedding celebrations were held over the Friday and Saturday so double celebrations and double the fun.
Civil Wedding – The Town Hall
The Friday afternoon, Day 1 – the wedding ceremony was to be held at the local Town Hall. I started the day by going to the Chateau to say hello to everyone before the wedding ceremony later that afternoon. It was an extremely hot day and it was only going to get hotter.
The ceremony
The town hall wedding ceremony was for close friends and family with the reception held at Ben’s family home. It was a beautiful end to a wonderful day and the guests were able to have a dip to cool off in the family pool. I didn’t, I was working!
The photo shoots
With the wedding ceremony complete I whisked Camilla and Ben away for the couple shots around the side streets. As you’ll see from the images, gorgeous light, stone buildings with amazing atmosphere. Truly a romantic setting.
Watch out for the next blog post as this will be the wedding at the Chateau de Pondres, a truly magnificent wedding venue.
Thank you!
Huge thanks to Camilla and Ben. Their wedding was on one of the hottest days of the Summer in France and one of the most colourful and romantic too.
