Morston Hall is a country house, privately owned and which dates back to the 17th century. It is a Michelin-starred restaurant, transformed by owners Galton & Tracy Blackiston. It can boast of having 13 individually designed bedrooms and be found on North Norfolk’s coastline. All in all the perfect setting as a wedding venue.

I was the wedding photographer for Rachel and Mark’s wedding at Morston Hall and the day despite it being a dull and grey November day the day was just perfect. The event team worked tirelessly to make everything happen. The food which I was fortunate enough to sample was simply perfect. As a wedding photographer I don’t always get so spoilt when it comes down to the time to be fed. However, at Morston Hall I certainly did not finish the day hungry.

As with Winter weddings we always need to be mindful of the low light and short days. Ensuring that this is planned for certainly aides the wedding photography on the day. At another Morston Hall wedding also a Winter wedding we set up a “First Look” which also gave us the opportunity for couple shots before the actual wedding.
